A Loving Bond Starts With Two Hearts

Discover the joy of positive training designed uniquely for you and your dog

Training Programs

Our positive reinforcement training programs come to you anywhere in Chicago. From a puppy’s first weeks home to a dog who needs help with reactivity on walks, in-home training fits your daily life better than a facility ever could.

In-Home Puppy Training

The first few months of your puppy’s life are a critical window for socialization and learning. Most group classes and facilities require full vaccinations before they’ll accept puppies, which means weeks of that window go to waste. Because we come to you, training starts right away in the safety of your home.

The Puppy Head Start Package is designed to build a strong start for you and your puppy together. Jasmine will assess your puppy’s temperament, breed, and your household’s needs to create a personalized training plan built around positive reinforcement. She’ll work directly with your puppy on foundational skills while coaching you on how to communicate, reinforce good behaviors, and continue the progress between sessions.

Behavior Training and Coaching

Every behavior issue has a cause, and finding it is where Jasmine starts. Sessions happen where the behavior happens: your home, your neighborhood, or the park you visit every day.

After each session you’ll receive a personalized summary written by Jasmine. It covers what you discussed and worked on, plus homework to practice before the next session. When it helps, she’ll add a short video demonstrating a concept or a product recommendation.

There are two ways to do the work: lessons you attend, or daily training Jasmine runs on her own.

Private Lessons

A one-hour session with you and your dog together, at $125. Jasmine will watch how you and your dog interact, identify the best approach for both of you, and coach you through techniques you can keep using between sessions.

The Private Day Program

When a behavior needs daily repetition, or you want the work done rapidly, Jasmine can train your dog herself, without you needing to be home. The Private Day Program is twenty one-hour sessions over four weeks, including a weekly coaching session with you, for $2,400.

Group Dog Training Classes in Chicago

Group classes give your dog something private sessions can’t: other dogs in the room. Working around distraction is a skill on its own, and a class is the place to build it while Jasmine is there to help you adjust in the moment.

Dog Walking Basics: Leash handling for real Chicago sidewalks. You’ll practice around the things that derail a walk, from squirrels to other dogs coming the opposite direction on a narrow stretch.

Dining with Dogs: Preparation for patios and pet-friendly cafes. Your dog learns to settle under a table while people move around them, and you learn how to read when they’re getting close to their limit.

Rally Obedience: A course of signs, each one prompting a skill you and your dog perform as a team. Jasmine has titled multiple dogs in Rally-O and teaches it as a way to sharpen communication, though most people stay for how much their dog enjoys it.

Class sizes stay small so nobody gets lost in the group. We run classes at several points throughout the year. Get in touch to hear when the next round opens.

Adventure Training

Some dogs come along for everything. Adventure training builds the skills that make that possible, whether the plan is a weekend in the Kettle Moraine or a flight to see family.

On trail, the work centers on recall you can rely on when it counts and a leash that stays loose over uneven ground. Jasmine will also cover what to do when you meet wildlife or another hiker with a dog, since a narrow trail leaves nowhere to create distance.

Air travel takes preparation of a different kind, and most of it happens before the trip. Jasmine works on your dog’s comfort in their crate or carrier, then builds up to the noise and crowding of a terminal. Starting this work ahead of a trip can both help your pup have a more relaxing experience and help them enjoy the trip as much as you do.

Why Choose Two Hearts?

The Two Hearts Difference

Two Hearts Dog Training is a family-run business in Humboldt Park. Jasmine trains every dog herself, and Ben handles the scheduling and everything else.

When you text or email, you’re reaching one of us directly. A lot of our clients have been with us for years, starting with a new puppy and coming back through adolescence, a move, or a second dog. Jasmine knows those dogs and what they’ve already worked on.

A trainer who met your dog last week is working from scratch. Jasmine already knows what motivates your dog, what they struggle with, and what you’ve tried before.

14 years of experience and Education

Jasmine studied under Jennifer Boznos and Chris Bach at Call of the Wild School for Dogs in Chicago. Chris Bach developed the Third Way, and it is the method Jasmine has taught for fourteen years.

We Come To You

Sessions happen in your home and the neighborhood, where your dog’s behavior needs to hold up. There’s no facility, no drop-off, and no waiting on vaccinations before training can start.

You Get it in Writing

We’ll send you a personalized summary (written by Jasmine) after every session covering what you worked on and what to practice before your next session.

Competition at the National Level

Three dogs Jasmine has trained have been invited to Rally Nationals, two of them her own. Handling a dog under that kind of pressure is a different skill from teaching one, and both show up in how she coaches you.
